Care Leaver Covenant

SJMT was thrilled to become a signatory of the Care Leaver Covenant in February 2021. The Covenant is a National scheme funded by the Department for Education which enables organisations to make a commitment to provide additional support to young people leaving care; making available a different type of support and expertise from that statutorily provided by local authorities.

The Covenant believes that organisations are able to draw on their resourcefulness and imagination of their staff and their working environment, offering new perspectives and professional expertise that can aid care leavers in moving forward successfully to the next phase of their lives.

As of March 2021, our offer is to promote apprenticeships and work experience placements to care leavers. SJMT is experienced and well placed to do this type of support.

For more information or to enquire about an apprenticeship or work experience placement, please contact us using the details below.
